Visit Lizio and its insectarium in Morbihan

Nice village with the label “Small City of character”, Lizio is a Morbihan destination not to be missed: around a typical 17th century church, the village is composed of old granite houses with hydrangea flowers and discreetly decorated with carved fountains, dormers, niches and cornices, which testify to the prosperity of Lizio’s weavers in the 17th and 18th centuries. An interpretive trail allows you to discover the built heritage of the town: its remarkable homes, fountains, laundry, Templar Chapel, crosses and bread ovens. Several places are not to be missed visiting Lizio: the museum of old crafts, the Museum of Breton quarries, the insectarium and the universe of the Poet Ferrailleur. The outside of the village is also dotted with botanical trails and hiking trails promising beautiful family walks through the woods and the Breton countryside, to discover a rich and varied fauna and flora.
